Abseiling at Whatstandwell, Dukes Quarry with 124th Mickleover Scouts – 22 May 2021 Testament to our service is that many of our customers book with us time and time again. One such regular customer is the 124th Mickleover Scouts.  The group are always full of enthusiasm and always up for trying new outdoor activities.  We just love taking them out as the experience is always a new adventure. Abseiling at Whatstandwell’s Dukes Quarry Dukes Quarry Whatstandwell, Derbyshire, was our chosen destination for the days abseiling activity. This quarry was the site for some of the stone that makes up one of Derbyshire’s most popular attractions, Chatsworth House. Half term and glorious weather, how to keep the kids occupied?  ‘I thought I would take them Rock-Scrambling‘  mum Penny exclaimed when we met up.  We chose Black Rocks because it’s a great location near Matlock, offering just the right terrain for family activities.
