Abseiling at Whatstandwell, Dukes Quarry with 124th Mickleover Scouts – 22 May 2021 Testament to our service is that many of our customers book with us time and time again. One such regular customer is the 124th Mickleover Scouts. The group are always full of enthusiasm and always up for trying new outdoor activities. We just love taking them out as the experience is always a new adventure. Abseiling at Whatstandwell’s Dukes Quarry Dukes Quarry Whatstandwell, Derbyshire, was our chosen destination for the days abseiling activity. This quarry was the site for some of the stone that makes up one of Derbyshire’s most popular attractions, Chatsworth House. Rock Scrambling at Black Rocks, June 2021 – Dave Mathews, Aspire Adventure Activities. Here at Aspire Adventure activities we just love taking families out on their own mini-adventures. We thrive off their unity and energy and simply love showing them the outdoor activities that they can do in the Peak District. Learn To Climb Do You want to book a Peak District Adventure? Not sure what you need? Too much choice? Let’s look at what we can offer. With the Peak District being the centre of rock climbing in Britain, climbing makes a great choice. You can climb the fantastic gritstone edges of the Dark Peak such as Stanage Edge, Burbage North, Froggatt Edge or the wonderful Windgather Edge. Alternatively, There are the limestone cliffs of the White Peak such as Harborough Rocks. So why choose the Peak District for adventure activities. Well, it’s pretty central and easy to get to by road and rail from all corners of the UK and it has a pretty good airport near by. It has so many accommodation types to choose from be it YHA, cottage, camping barn or tent. So what about the activities? Famous for its climbing with its famous gritstone edges, the Peak District is the foremost location to try rock climbing as it has climbs for everybody to have a go at. Many of the cliffs so easy to access. You can climb on the wonderful Windgather Edge or Stanage Edge in the morning then go for a leisurely walk or visit Chatsworth House in the afternoon.
